Jacob Tong:
change management
1st step : creating urgency (that is in fact creating crisis)
2nd step : propose actions (people are just too panic now and they accept whatever you propose now)
3rd step : done
All successful changes, here and there, now and then are the same.
9xx was a classic example.
Another example was the establishment of Isxxxx

I'm not the only charlatan
watch Robert Schuller's hour of power on you tube. The best comedy ever seen. I laughed 'till I cried, I cried 'till I laughed. Don't take this snobbish (rubbish) christainity too seriously, Schuller wanted you to laugh only...
Glad to know I am not the only charlatan on earth, there is at least one Robert Schuller

3 idiots
watching this moive is like life, you wouldn't leave in the middle, but certainly you do not want to see it again.
every now and then there were inspiring 'seize the day' or 'find your dream' movies that intended to make happy people cry so they can have their catharsis.
If you are bombarded by too many Hollywood churned out 'alien attacks' and want a change, it can be your choice. But it does not deserves its acclaims. No breakthrough, just following an established formula.

the lost tribe of Mandarin speaking people....
Mandarin...the most sexy language , more sexy than French. If one master it, it is so gentle, soft, soothing. whoever listens is literalliy melting but at the same time desparately trying to stay awake just to enjoy it more.
You may get confused as it has only slight difference with the 'poor tone wa' used by people from Mainland China. Yes, They are the same language, but the accent set them apart. Mandarin was spoken by the refined blue blood of old China and 'poor tone wa' (commom language) was spoken by the working classes, peasants and farmers. Typical examples of 'poor tone wa' were the voiceover of the old Communist party's propaganda programs. The accent was ugly, as though coming from someone castrated but trying to prove his manhood with his voice.
Mandarin was brought by the elite of China to Taiwan, but it is pity that Taiwanese language now is mixed with all sorts of strange accents which are amounting to nuisance.
Mandarin, like other Chinese virtues, was bascially lost. The old blue blood died and brought the language with them to thier graves.
Hong Kong, as usual, accidentially serve as a refuge of China's heritage. Mandarin can be found in Hong Kong, but only in the Shaw's brother 60's moives. This can be the greatest contribution Shaw Run Run did to Chinese people so far. This off set his bad deeds (brainwashing us with TVB,with a purpose) he did to Hong kong. but that is another story.....
