Question 1: Why is it hard to dry a concrete, where hydrated stains on its surface is very difficult to get rid of.
Question 2: Why is testosterone a grade A carcinogen?
Question 1: Why is it hard to dry a concrete, where hydrated stains on its surface is very difficult to get rid of.
Solution:
Calcium sulphate has many holes to hold water molecules, and it's chemical formula is CaSO4•nH2O.
Since Calcium ions are electronegative enough, they can form hydrogen bonds with water molecules to trap the latter even more.
So a great deal amount of energy is required to break hydrogen bonds as the latter has the least potential energy, which implies stability.
Question 2: Why is testosterone a grade A carcinogen?
Solution:
Testosterone is directly derived from steroid which is a toxic substance that can induce strong withdrawal effect. In contrast, estrogen is less toxic.
In adrenal glands, testosterone and estrogen can be interchanged.
since testosterone is more oxidized than estrogen, the former tends to be more cumulative to induce sex drives. That's why sexual intercourses are always carcinogenic.
